Choosing a Wedding Dress

Here’s the main steps when picking a wedding dress

Do lots of research

Before you go into a shop it’s best to know what you’re talking about so do research especially in bridal magazines or online.

Decide which type of dress is best for you

The main types are

Ball gowns

These have skirts which are very full and will look good on most people except women who are very short and small. They generally have crinolines in them already or you should wear a slip to support their shape. The only problem with them is that they can be a bit bulky to wear

A- Lines

These dresses flare out from the waist in the shape of an A- hence the name. They work well for most people and are good if you want to hide any of your lower body.

Sheaths

These are good for slim women and if you are larger in any area you might feel uncomfortable wearing one.

Empire waist gowns

These are good for a less formal wedding or a wedding in a hot country.

What circumstances

You need to choose according to whether you are getting married in a  warm or cold climate or season and how formal the occasion is going to be.

imagine the wedding day and how you want to look in your dress.

Cost

Decide before you go into a shop how much you would like to spend on the dress, there’s no point looking at dresses that are too expensive for you. So pick a maximum and remember that you are going to have to buy lots of other wedding attire as well such as shoes, gloves, veil etc.

Make sure the dress fits

Make sure that the dress fits you well and that you feel totally happy wearing it, you don’t want to feel uncomfortable on your wedding day.

Good luck!
